Ticket Cancellation Refund, Will the refund be given if the ticket is canceled after the reservation chart is prepared? Here is the whole process
Railway News: Millions of people of the country travel by train. Individuals reserve a spot in trains for extremely long travel. There have been changes in many rules of the railway in the past years, in such a situation it is very important to be informed. Sometimes it also happens that due to some emergency, you have to cancel the ticket even after the preparation of the reservation chart. Yet, will you have a fair amount of money returned all things considered? Let us tell you.
Indian Railways says that even after chart preparation, if you cancel the ticket for any reason, then refund can be claimed. IRCTC has tweeted a video from the official handle, in which it has been told that the railway gives refunds on tickets without traveling. To get your money back, you have to submit Deposit Receipt (TDR) online.
How to file TDR?
- Go to the official website of IRCTC www.irctc.co.in. There click on My Account on the home page.
- Now go to the drop down menu and click on My Transaction. Here you can record TDR by choosing a choice in Document TDR choice.
- Here you will see the data of the individual in whose name the ticket has been reserved.
- Presently enter your train number, PNR number and manual human test. After this tick the box of cancellation rules.
- After that press the submit button.
- An OTP will come on the phone number which you have written in the form at the time of ticket booking, enter it and press submit.
- Verify the details of PNR and click on the option of cancel ticket.
- Now you will see the refund amount on the screen.
- Now you will get a confirmation SMS on the mobile number, which will contain information about PNR and refund.
- Original documents have to be sent
After filing TDR online, you have to send the original documents to the address mentioned below. Address-GGM IT, Indian Rail line Cooking and The travel industry Company Ltd. first Floor, Web Tagging Center IRCA Building, State Section Street, New Delhi-110055.
