The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has already made it mandatory to link insurance to Aadhaar. In such cases, LIC offers its policyholders both online and offline facilities to link Aadhaar and PAN to consumer policies. For offline, the LIC policyholder must submit the form. At the same time, important documents must be submitted in every branch of LIC. Online facility is very simple as compared to offline.
How to link LIC policy to Aadhaar
Log in to licindia.in and find the link to link Aadhaar to the LIC policy. Tap the link and LIC will share with you a list of instructions to link the policy online.
Enter your registered mobile number with UIDAI and an OTP will be sent to the registered Aadhaar number.
To go through the checklist, click the Continue button at the bottom of the page and a form will appear.
Enter your full name, date of birth, father/husband name, aadhaar number, policy number, PAN etc.
Click the Get OTP link and an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. After that, after the registration link, users will get a successful message.
How to link Aadhaar to LIC Policy Offline
Download the LIC-Aadhaar coupling form or go to your nearest LIC branch and request the form.
You can enter all policy numbers that you want to link.
Please remember to bring your own certified photocopies of Aadhar and PAN Card/Form 60.
You must then sign the policyholder’s signature.
Send the document to the officer to complete the linking process.
